Terms & conditions

About these terms

This website is operated by WLFP Ltd, company number 16403967, registered office Flat 22 Ricardo Street, London, England, E14 6EG, which runs the West London Film Festival (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Where you buy tickets, passes or merchandise from us, the additional terms below also apply.

Using the site

You may use the site for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to misuse it, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, or use it in any way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

Our brand and content

The West London Film Festival name, logo, and the text, images and design of this site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Film submissions

Film entries are made through FilmFreeway and are subject to the entry terms and deadlines published there at the time of submission, as well as to FilmFreeway’s own terms. By submitting a film you confirm you have the right to enter it and to allow us to screen it and use short extracts and images to promote the festival if it is selected. Submission does not guarantee selection, and entry fees, where charged, are non-refundable.

Tickets and passes

Online ticket sales are not open yet. This section sets out the terms that will apply once tickets and passes go on sale.

Tickets and passes are sold subject to availability. A contract is formed when we confirm your order. Prices are shown at checkout and include any applicable taxes and any booking fee, which is stated before you pay. Payments are handled by our third party payment provider; we do not store your full card details, and your order is not confirmed until payment has been received.

Refunds

Tickets and passes are, as a general rule, non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and this is a condition of purchase.

If you change your mind or cannot attend

Because tickets and passes are for an event taking place on a specific date, they are exempt from the standard 14 day online cancellation right. If you can no longer attend, or simply change your mind, we are not able to offer a refund or exchange. We would encourage you to pass your ticket to someone who can use it, provided it is not resold for more than face value.

If we cancel or materially change the event

If we cancel an event, or reschedule it or change it in a way that is material and you are unable or unwilling to attend as a result, you are entitled to a refund of the face value of the affected ticket. Booking fees may not be refundable except where the law requires. This does not affect your statutory rights, and nothing in these terms removes any refund you are entitled to by law where we do not deliver the event as agreed. We are not responsible for related costs such as travel or accommodation.

Resale

Tickets may not be resold for profit. We may cancel, without refund, any ticket we reasonably believe has been resold or transferred in breach of these terms, and we may refuse admission to it.

Merchandise

Online merchandise sales are not open yet. This section sets out the terms that will apply once merchandise is offered for sale.

Where we sell merchandise, a contract is formed when we confirm your order. We take care to describe items and show prices accurately, but occasional errors may occur; if we discover an error in the price or description of something you have ordered, we will contact you and you may confirm or cancel the order. For physical goods bought online you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving them and return them unused for a refund, in line with UK consumer law; certain items, such as personalised goods, may be excluded, and return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or not as described. Nothing here affects your statutory rights, including your right to a remedy for faulty goods.

At the festival

By attending the festival you agree to follow the venue’s rules and the reasonable instructions of our team. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone behaving in a way that is unsafe, unlawful or disruptive, without a refund. Photography, filming and recording during screenings are not permitted unless we say otherwise. Please note that we, our partners or the media may film or photograph festival events, and by attending you may appear in that footage; let a member of our team know if you have any concerns.

Liability

We take care to keep the site and our events accurate, available and safe, but the site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from use of the site, attendance at the festival, or the purchase of tickets or merchandise. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Changes to these terms

The West London Film Festival is growing, and we expect to review and update these terms as the festival develops, including when we introduce ticketing and merchandise. We may change these terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page, with a new date at the top. Any change applies to your use of the site and to orders placed after the change; it does not retrospectively alter the terms of a ticket, pass or item you have already bought, which remain governed by the terms in force at the time of your purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
